MONTCLAIR, NJ—For the second year in a row, SpineUniverse.com was named one of five finalists for “Best Healthcare Online Media Brand” by Medical, Marketing & Media (MM&M), a leading publication for healthcare marketers.

SpineUniverse, part of the Vertical Health family of websites, has established itself as the foremost source of back and neck pain information on the web. The Vertical Health team is constantly exploring ways to improve design, accessibility, and functionality, as well as expanding content that is important to patients and medical professionals. This year, SpineUniverse has added a wealth of information on emerging conditions, such asfibromyalgia, and well-known diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.

The award for “Best Healthcare Online Media Brand” recognizes a website that offers quality editorial content for either patients or professionals. An independent panel of judges selected finalists based on outstanding service to both readers and advertisers with the most impressive gains in readership, revenues, market share, and editorial quality over the course of 2008-2009.

The winners of the 2009 MM&M Awards will be announced at a black tie gala on October 29th, 2009, at New York City’s Tavern on the Green.
